In spring of 2004, Jeff Brower had a vision to see a Calvary Chapel planted in Rohnert Park. He took the initial administrative steps to set up the nonprofit status for the church and began praying about starting Sunday mornings. Through this process, he felt like the Lord was telling him to wait.

A couple years later, in late 2006, Jeff felt a calling from God to start a home fellowship in hopes that it would lead to the start of the Calvary Chapel. A small group met week after week for a few months. On one such meeting in March of 2007, a new family visited from Calvary Chapel Healdsburg.

Sean Sage had spent the previous 5 years as Youth Pastor and Assistant Pastor at Calvary Chapel Healdsburg but felt God’s calling to step down. Not knowing where the Lord was directing the Sage family, they visited the Home Fellowship and immediately were pleased to find a place to fellowship on Friday nights while attending Calvary Chapel Petaluma.

During the next couple months, Jeff and Sean had multiple conversations about the church plant in Rohnert Park that culminated in Jeff telling Sean that he felt like Sean was called to be the pastor of the church plant. Through prayer, conversations, and confirmations, Sean agreed to continue the church plant.

In July of 2007, Sean and his wife Linsee began a home fellowship on Saturday Nights. Each week the Sages and two other families would meet for Bible study, prayer and worship. Eventually, this lead to another family opening their home for a Wednesday Night Bible Study that began in February of 2008.

Later that fall, in September of 2008, we opened the doors for the first Sunday morning service. We are so excited to be a part of God’s calling for Rohnert Park.  We offer a variety of venues to become plugged into our small fellowship with hopes that all those seeking will find a place to grow.

We now meet at 5905 Labath Ave, Rohnert Park, CA 94928
